Book 13, Page 148 Thomas Gatrall & Wife Deed for a tract of land to Daniel Ripley near the town of Centerville This deed made the 28th day of April 1853 between Thomas Gatrall and Catharine his wife of the County of Doddridge & State of Virginia of the one part and Daniel Ripley of Tyler County and same State of the other part, witnesseth that the said Thomas Gatrall and Catharine his wife for the consideration of fifty dollars hath granted bargained and sold to the said Daniel Ripley a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in Tyler County and State aforesaid near Centerville, and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at said Daniel Ripleys corner on the ridge, thence with his line to Andrew Conaway's line, and with his line to his corner on the ridge, and with the ridge to the beginning. To have and to Hold, the said tract or parcel of Land, with the appurtenances, to the said Daniel Ripley his heirs and assigns forever. Ingle deceased of the County of Doddridge & State of West Virginia of the first part and Daniel Ripley of the County of Tyler & State aforesaid, of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first - do hereby grant unto the party of the second part with covenants of general warranty all their right, title, interest or claim of, in or to the following real property, that is to say, the undivided one half of Lot No. 7 in the Town of Centreville in the said County of Tyler with the appurtenances, the said Daniel Ripley being the owner of the other undivided one half of said lot & appurtenances.
