GREGG 1815 DEED Tyler co. WV This Indenture made this sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen between George Gregg and Mary his wife of Tyler County and State of Virginia of the one part and Thomas Gregg of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of Seventy Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Gregg the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged and them the said George Gregg and Mary his wife are fully satisfyed and for divers other good causes and considerations them thereunto moving hath granted bargained sold aliened enfused and confirmed unto the said Thomas Gregg and heirs for ever all and singular a certain tract or parcle of Land on Middle Island Creek and known by the name of the Jug being part of the tract of Land whereupon the Said George now resides and bounded as follows to wit Begining at a beech on the Creek bank Corner to George Gregg Junr and with his line south fifty seven Degrees West one hundred and twelve poles to a White oak corner to the said George thence south two Degrees West fifty two poles to a Stone thence south twenty seven Degrees East sixty four poles to a White Oak and Hickory on the Creek bank thence up the Creek with the several meanders thereof and binding thereon two hundred and twenty eight poles to the beginning laid off for the said Thomas Gregg and containing seventy eight acres to have and to hold the above described tract of Land and premises with all the appertenances thereunto belonging to him the Said Thomas his heirs and assigns to his or their proper use and behoof and them the said George Gregg and Mary his wife do hereby covenant and agree for themselves their heirs executors administrators and assigns to and with the said Thomas Gregg his heirs executors administrators and assigns that they the said George Gregg and Mary his wife the above described tract of Land and premisses shall and will Warrant and for ever defend against themselves and their heirs or any other person lawfully blaiming the same in any way by them in testimony of which we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written.
