(sic), 30 May 1864; 13 Feb. 1865. Wife PALSY, dau. MARTHA, sons DOUGLAS, ROBERT, and DAVIS K., grandson, ROBERT JOHNS. No ex. named. Testator desires pmt. of debts and funeral expenses; also pmt. of note given by testator to John Brannon for land to be pd. equally by testator's sons; bequeaths to son DOUGLAS JOHNS, "provided he lives and gets home to occupy it," a lot of land "beginning on the old salt work road between J. W. Wilson and house of testator where the Newton line crosses the road thence with the same, crossing the Fall run and up a left hand branch to the first drain on the south side west of the lick and up the drain southward to the top of the ridge, to include a spring in said drain, towards the west fork to a birch and white oak, corner of land bought of Samuel Wilson to include all the land east of said line bought of said Wilson and Newton heirs"; if sd. Douglas does not return preceding legacy to son ROBERT JOHNS, also land bequeathed to son Davis K. Johns, if he does not return, Robert to pay heirs of Douglas and Davis K., $10 each, also to ROBERT, remaining land after deduction of bequests and dower right of testator's widow, also 1 horse after death of sd. widow; to son DAVIS K. JOHNS, "provided he get home to occupy it" a tract of land "beginning at the old salt work road where my line crosses the road west of the D. K. Johns house and with the road to testator's meadow fence so as to include a part of a good spring on Sugar Camp hollow, thence to the line of the land purchased of the Newton heirs and with the same to where Douglas Johns line will cross thence with the same South to a beech and W. 0. Corner"; to grandson ROBERT JOHNS, one white mare and colt; to dau. MARTHA JOHNS, 4 sheep and 2 milch cows; to wife PALSY, remainder of personalty and dower right in realty bequeathed to sd.
