HENRY FERGUSON OF LEE COUNTY, VA., BROTHER OF JOEL MARTIN FERGUSON
 
Henry, Obadiah's son, was 50 years old in the Lee County 1850 Census.  He died 
April 18, 1853.  He married Dicey Brashears, daughter of James and Nancy Brashears.  
Dicey was born in Henry County, VA in 1800.  She died in Lee County of Typhoid Fever 
December 8, 1861.
Issue:
Joel M., born abt. 1823, died unknown., married Germelda Unknown, born abt 1833.  
Joel served in the Civil War in the 64th Virginia Infantry. Their son, Henry, born 
abt. 1849, died at the age of six

Elizabeth M., born 2/5/1825, died 1/21/1876., married William Chandler in 1846.  He 
was born abt. 1818, died unknown. They had sons Zachry T., born abt. 1847 and William 
A., born abt. 1849.   Deaths unknown.
 
George Will M., born abt 1824, died unknown., married (1) Jane Keener, born abt. 1833 
in Hawkins County, TN, daughter of James and Susannah Keener.  Jane died 9/26/1867 of 
consumption.Their children were Benjamin, born abt. 1852, Saphronia, born 1854, Joel, 
born abt 1859., Mary, born 1857.  George was a doctor and he served in the Civil War 
in the 64th Virginia Infantry.  He married (2) Abigail Lucy Daugherty, born abt. 
1838, daughter of Henry and Abigail (Jayne) Daugherty.  They moved to Missouri.
 
Nancy M., twin, born abt 1827, died unknown., married Martin Gilliam of Scott 
County, VA on January 27, 1864. He was the son of William J. and Nancy Gilliam.
 
Mary (Malinda?) F., twin to Nancy., born abt 1827, married _____Hall.
 
Barthena, born abt. 1831, married 2/7/1861, Greenberry Carter Wallen, born 1811, 
Hawkins, TN., died unknown. Their children were Elizabeth Dicey, born 1862, Lee 
County - married Henry Fisher, born 1858., Mary J., born 1867, Lee Co., Serelda, 
born 1873, Lee Co., Henry Wesley, born 8/5/1863, Lee Co., died 1/25/1934., married 
Mary Osbourne, born 1853, Lee Co.
 
Henry T., born abt. 1832, died unknown., Served in Civil War.
 
Dicey R. born abt. 1836, died 11/18/1857 of Diabetes.
