Corns/Corns Deed, 1878 JAMES M CORNS Deed of Relinquishment To TO 1/2 of 100 Acres JAMES CORNS Sr. This deed made this 3d day of April A.D. 1878 between James M. Corns of Longview Texas of the first part and James Corns Sr. of Wayne County West Virginia of the Second part. Whereas on the 15 day of January 1861 the said James Corns Sr. conveyed to the party of the first part of the lands and interest in lands herein after described by a proper deed which is duly recorded in Book F Page 266 of the records of deeds for Wayne County in the State of aforesaid and whereas the consideration for which said deed was made has wholly failed and no part thereof has been realized by the said James Corns Sr. the said party of the first part being desireous of reinvesting the said James Corns Sr. with all the rights and property conveyed by said deed Now therefor this deed witnesseth that for and consideration of the promises the said party of the first doth by these promises give grant bargain sell and convey the undivided half of a tract of land situated lying and being in Wayne County State of West Virginia and on the east side of Twelve Pole Creek supposed to contain 100 acres and for more particular description of which reference is now here made to the said James Corns Sr. which is of record in the Said County of Wayne in deed Book E page 453 with its appurtencs(sic) unto the said James Corns Sr. his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part covenants to relinguish and forever quit all claims of right or title to or interest in said lands hereby conveyed.
