Obituary of Nellie Powers Munsey, 1927 - Wayne Co. WV


Nellie Powers Munsey 
Wayne ,W.Va. Thursday, June 23, 1927 

Mrs. Nellie Munsey, age 24, an account of whose suicide was published in this paper last issue, 
was brought to Mt. Vernon Cemetary, near Ardel, this county for burial Tuesday afternoon of 
last week. The services were in charge of Rev. Henry Mullens and Rev. Paris Adkins, Jr. The 
deceased was the wife of Everette Munsey, son of the Rev. Thomas Munsey, former Wayne countian. 
Mrs. Munsey had been seperated from her husband and children and domestic difficulties were 
assigned as the reason for her suicide. She is survived by her husband, Everett Munsey, three 
small children, Marjorie, Thelma, and Randell; by her mother, Mrs. Ida Powers, of Huntington, 
by five sisters; Mrs. Jessie Clonce of Ironton, Ohio; Mrs. Monie Sharp, Mrs. Sarah Gilson and 
Mrs. Dossie Corns, of Huntington, and Mrs. Rebecca Ross, Wayne, Route 2; and one brother, 
Wade Powers, of Huntington.
