Perdue deceased which was proven by the oaths of A. J. Hale and B. F. Drown to be the last Will and Testament of John M. Perdue deceased. Given under my hand this 30th day of April 1879. P. H. Napier Clerk July the 9th 1878. In the Name of God Amen, I John M. Perdue of the County of Wayne and State of West Virginia, Being of sound mind do make this my last Will and Testament hearby revoking all former Wills and Coticils made heartofore by me, I hearby dispose of my property as follows to wit. Item; First a sum of money due by account on or against my Brother Luke Perdue of the County of Franklin in the State of Virginia amounting to some three hundred dollars or their about I will and bequeath the above account to my wife Martha F. Perdue to have and to dispose of as she may think proper. I hearby appoint B. F. Drown of the County of Wayne, West Va my Executor to collect the above account and to pay over the same to my wife, Martha F. Perdue. Given under my hand and seal the day and date above ritten. Perdue was produced to me in my office for record and thereupon the same together with the Order of Probate thereon endored was duly admitted to record. He was born ca 1816 in Franklin Co., Virginia the oldest child of ISAIAH PERDUE & MILDRED WINGO. He married to MARY POLLY WARD 18 Nov 1839 in Franklin Co., VA. They moved to Wayne Co., Virginia where MARY died in 1862. MEADOWS married second MARTHA FANNIE SHOEMAKER daughter of J. W. BLANKENSHIP & LEASEY SHOEMAKER. She was born 10 Nov 1848 and died 8 Jan 1924 in Boyd Co., KY.
