Will of James Wilson, 1856 - Wayne Co. WV 28 April 1856 I James Wilson of the county of Wayne and State of Virginia being weak of body and of sound mind knowing that all have to die do make and publish this my last Will and Testament. 1st After my decease I desire that my body be buried in a deacent Christian like manner without any pomp or display. Second I desire that all my just debts be paid. 3d in relation to what worldly goods it has pleased the hand of providence to bless me with I will that my beloved wife Sarah to have one cow and all household & kitchen furniture and all the beading and clothing with two hundred dollars out of the money that Calvin Wellman and James Wellman Jr. are oweing to me. I will and bequeath five dollars to Della Bartrum or her heirs, I will and bequeath five dollars to Poley Jarred or her heirs. I will and bequeath five dollars to Jackson Wilson or his heirs. I will and bequeath all the balance of my entire Estate to the following heirs namely Sarah Ball, Alexander Wilson, Charles Wilson, Nancy Wellman, Elizabeth Lambert, Rebecca Wellman, Margaret Lambert, Susan Vaughan, Anderson Wilson, Allen Wilson. I will that there shall be an equal distribution made of my entire estate after the 3 first named heirs gets their five dollars each and my wife gets her two hundred dollars and property before named. I further constitute and appoint Allen Wilson as my Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby removing all others in testimony whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this the 9th of February 1857.
