JOHN COULTER June 16, 1814. I have an interest in this John Coulter, whom I believe to be the son of Corbin Coulter/Colter who married Margaret White McCabe 4 July 1795, bond by William White, in Frederick Co., VA. This marriage is recorded in FREDERICK COUNTY MARRIAGES 1738-1850 by John Vogt and T. William Kethley, Jr. According to MARRIAGE RECORDS OF BERKELY COUNTY, VIRGINIA FOR THE PERIOD OF 1781-1854, compiled by Guy L. Keesecker, John Colter married Rebecca Gano 30 June 1812. Also documented in the Berkeley Co. marriage records is the marriage of Betsy Colter and Edward Littlejohn 27 April 1812, suretor Corbin Colter. I believe Betsy is Corbin's daughter by Margaret White McCabe. I would very much like to make contact with anyone researching any of the above individuals or who may have more information about them.
