He was born in Philippi, July 16, 1896, a son of the late John and Nancy Knapp Weaver. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Bennett Weaver, in 1976. Surviving are three sons, Robert B. Weaver of Stevenstown, MD, Billy C. Weaver of Fairmont, and James C. Weaver of Melbourne, FL three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Mary Louise) Kesling of Bridgeport, Mrs. Robert (Martha Susan) Orwig of Sanford, FL: one brother James B Weaver of Philippi. one sister, Mrs. Ida Sloan of Worthington, and 16 grandchildren. Mr. Weaver was a Baptist. a retired employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio and a veteran of World War I; serving in the U.S. Army. He was a 59 year member and past master of St. John's Lodge No. 24. AF & AM, Shinnston, and a member of the Osiris Temple in Wheeling. Funeral services were conducted from Clarksburg funeral home chapel at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 29, with the Rev. James B. Arbogast, superintendent of the West Virginia Masonic Home, officiating. Interment was in the Bridgeport Cemetery. Gravesite services were conducted by St. John's Lodge No. 24, AF & AM
