Mr. Allen we learn was the father of four children-- 3 daughters and a son Mrs. Upton Weaver, Mrs. Arthur Weaver, Miss Martha at home, and John Allen. Mr. Allen's wife died a few months ago. He was nearly 80 years of age, and had always stood for good citizenship; quiet and unassuming, yet wielding a good influence in his community. His remains were buried at Mariah's Chapel on Saturday.
