To all to whom these Presents Shall Come Greeting: Know Ye: That in the consideration of the sum of one dollar and forty four cents heretofore paid by Anthony Lawson into the treasury of the Commonwealth of Virginia, these is granted by the State of West Virgina, unto Nehemiah Allen, Ann Collins late Ann Allen, Carr Allen, Jane Gunnoe late Jane Allen, Hannah Blankenship late Hannah Allen, Kesiah Tiller late Kesiah Allen, Harriet Burgess late Harriet Allen, Juliet Roach late Juliet Allen, Brittain Allen, Emeree Blankenship late Emeree Allen, John Allen, heirs at law of John Allen Sen. deceased who was assignee of the said Anthony Lawson a certain tract parcel of land containing seventy two acres lying in the County of Wyoming in the land fork of the big fork of Guyandotte River, and bounded as follows vig: Beginning at a white oak stump near the hous of John Allen Sr corner of survey made for David Toler thence S50 E 32 poles to a willow in the creek bank thence up said fork M60 E32 poles to a stake due E76 poles to 2 beeches and lynn N27 E52 poles to a large poplar on the top of a hill N11 E72 poles to a sycamore on the creek bank S52 E34 poles to a spruce pine cornor to a survey made for Edward J. Brickle N52 E34 poles to a poplar and bush on the bank of the Laurel Fork N32 W100 poles to a spruce pine and hickory on a ridge above a cliff of rocks S27 W140 poles to a rock thence S16 W136 poles to the beginning. By virtue of survey dated December 26th 1857 with it appurtenances to the said Nehemiah Allen, Ann Collins late Ann Allen, Carr Allen, Jane Gunnoe late Jane Allen, Hannah Blankenship late Hannah Allen, Kesiah Tiller late Kesiah Allen, Harriet Burgess late Harriet Allen, Juliet Roach late Juliet Allen, Brittain Allen, Emeree Blankenship late Emeree Allen, John Allen and their heirs forever: In witness where of the said Henry M Mathews Esq: Governor of Virginia has set his hand and caused the seal of the said State to be affixed hereunto at the City of Wheeling, on the 30th day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred Seventy Nine and the state of the Sixteenth.
