Albert Toler, Prosecuting Attorny, Pineville, WV, to Mr. Tollison Lusk, Herndon, WV Informs him that Virginia E. McKinney is not interested in the 83.5 acre tract being proceeded against in the name of S. G. Ellison by the commissioner of School Lands He describes derivation of her title In a chancery cause, 8 Jan 1884, title to 195 acres of land is conveyed to Thomas Little and Hiram Little On 7 Aug 1885, Thomas Little and Hiram Little agree to divide the land between themselves. On 15 Mar 1897, sometime after the death of Thomas Little, his heirs, T.G. Little, W.H. Little, M.J. Sizemore, and C. H. Smith, and the wives of each of them, a four-sevenths part interest that Thomas Little's portion to Samuel G. Ellison. On 2 Aug 1897, Samuel Ellison conveyed 3 of the four-sevenths interest (60 acres more or less), to Reuben McKinney, James R. McKinney, and Ellis McKinney. On 31 May 1904, Reubin McKinney and wife, and Ellis McKinney an dwife, conveyed their interest in the land to Virginia E. McKinney. After the division of the 195 acres between Thomas and Hiram Little, one Eweing instituted a suit against Hiram Little for the payment of his death (debts?). In this suit G.W. Graham became the purchaser of Hiram Little's part of the division of the 195 acres, and one of the four-sevenths that went to Thomas Little which then went to Hiram Little as one of Thomas's heirs. This land was conveyed to Graham 2 Apr 1898. On 20 Jun 1898, G.W. Graham and wife conveyed the mineral underlying this land, to S. G. Ellison.
