He was a retired railroad engineer; born 4 Oct 1878 in KY. Came to Laramie in 1903 and worked as an engineer for the Union Pacific for many years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Elks Lodge. Survived by his wife Frances, one son Robert, one brother Ray Howard in NM, and 2 nieces Hester Huber of OR and Helen Horn of CA. Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at Stryker Mortuary. He was buried in Greenhill Cemetery.
