   Miss Sarah Brooke moves to her ranch
seven miles south of this city this
week to occupy her three room cottage
which she has just had completed and
to take up her permanent abode, as the
law requires to gain herself a home.
Miss Brooke has a most desirable home-
stead, has a thrifty garden growing 
upon it and during the summer will
have breaking done preparatory to a 
goodly acreage of grain next season.
The young lady is entitled to much
credit for her ambition and desire to
get a home of her own in this world.

   Miss Sarah Brooke now smiles upon the
public from the postoffice windown, she
having assumed the duties of deputy post-
master, vi?? Miss Edna Shuart, resigned.
Miss Shuart will leave soon for Oberline,
Ohio, to attend school.

   Mr. and Mrs. James Crocker departed
last Friday evening for Minneapolis, Minn.,
where they will visit for a while after
which they will go to Wisconsin where they
will spend the balance of Mr. Crocker's
vacation. James says he will probably
bring back a bunch of Wisconsin dairy
cows with him.

Thursday, on account of the death of 
her sister then. Mrs. Crocker left on

popular Midwest singer, has returned from
Denver, Colo., where she spent a ten-day
vacation. Mrs. Crocker was given an audition
at KOA while there and plans to return to
Denver this fall for several singing
engagements.
