SHOP MAN KILLED UNDER TRAIN AT GILLETTE
   GILLETTE, Wyo., Jan. 9.--Ivan Moffett, an
employee of the Burlington railroad for many
years, sustained injuries which cost him his
life a few hours later while working in the
round house here. Moffett was sitting at an
engine pit with his leg across the rail just
back of a locomotive which he was repairing
when another engine, which was being brought
in by a hostler, crashed into the locomotive
on the engine pit, the impact moving the
engine back and severing the repairman's leg
at the hip. He was placed on a train for
Sheridan but died enroute.
