One census said she was born at New York but not sure that is correct. Sarah married Alexander Archibald Blair at St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada in 1869. Found Sarah (using the name Jane) in the 1871 census living at Bothwell, Ontario, Canada: Alexander Blair 23, Jane Blair 23, Elizabeth Blair 3 months, Duncan Blair 70. The couple and their daughter emigrated in mid 1871 to Wyoming. Found in the 1880 census living at Rock Springs, Sweetwater, Wyoming: Alexander Blair 32, Sarah J. Blair 32, Elizabeth Blair 9, Duncan Blair 7. Found in the 1900 census living at Lower Clear Creek, Arapahoe, Colorado: Alexander Blair 59, Jane Blair 53. Sarah and Alexander had 3 children: 1. Elizabeth Blair (born January 27, 1871 Ontario, Canada, married Richard Clay King August 2, 1890 Evanston, Uinta, Wyoming, died before 1920 at Wyoming); 2. Duncan Blair (born January 14, 1873 Rock Springs, Sweetwater, Wyoming, married Dorothea Katherine Klinker November 25, 1897 at Carbon, Wyoming, died October 7, 1940 at Trosky, Pipestone, MN) and 3. George Blair (born April 1882 Wyoming, death date unknown to me). Sarah Jane Colby Blair died either July 11, 1905 or July 12, 1906 at Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming. Sarah's gravestone photo can be found at the website, "Find a Grave", showing her buried at the Baggs Cemetery, Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming. Additional Comments: Censuses transcribed as found without fixing spelling errors. I thought that her spouse, Alexander Blair was buried at the Rock Springs, Wyoming Cemetery, perhaps that information is in error, not sure.
