Andrew had a younger sister, Agnes Margarite Dora Jebens (b May 27, 1885 Schleiswig-Holstein, Germany, married Lycurgus Kirk Calvert Jr, d July 14, 1959 Evanston, Uinta, Wyoming) and a younger brother, Carlie Ferdinand Jebens (b November 23, 1888 Huron, Beadle, South Dakota, d July 1976 Maricopa, Arizona). Andrew emi​grated at the age of 3 years from Germany to South Dakota in November of ​1885 traveling with his mother and infant sister. His father had left Germany earlier the same year to travel to South Dakota in America to meet up with his family and establish a place for his wife and children. Found on the ship's list on Ancestry.com: Ship name Gellert; Captain: Kuhlewien; Ship type: Dampfschiff; Accomodation: Zwischendeck. Says he is a 3 year old son from Schleiswig-Holstein. Volume: 373-7 I, VIII A 1 Band 055 C; Page: 1505; Microfilm Roll Number: K_1734. The family lived a few years at Beadle, Huron, South Dakota but were in search of more land and a better living. They decided to leave by horse and wagon train and travel west with the Jons and Klinker family eventually settling around Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming. Found in the 1900 census at Election Dist # 15 Carbon, Wyoming: Ferdinand James 42 (should be Jebens), Margarite M James 41, Andrew A James 17, Agnes M D James 15, Carlie (Carl) 10. Andrew was married on September 17, 1908, a Sunday afternoon, at the Ferdinand Jebens home in Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming to Sarah DeArmond​ Rich (born April 16, 1889 Vernal, Uintah, Utah, d November 8, 1979 American Fork-Pleasant Grove, Utah, Utah). The couple had 2 dau​ghters: Mary Jane Jebens (born August 2, 1909 Vernal, Uintah, Utah, d November 30, 1995 Craig, Moffat, Colorado) and Josephine Elizabeth Jebens (b May 24, 1912 Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming, d December 4, 2005 Pleasant Grove, Utah). Andrew owned and operated a general store from 1908 to abt 1911 in Baggs which he sold to brother, Carlie. Various newspaper articles found describing his traveling with teams of horses and wagons to haul freight cross country for his store with other men from Baggs, WY. Found on a ship's list September 8th to the 22nd, 1914 with his wife and daughters. They were leaving Rotterdam on the ship S S Principello, returning to New York City, U.S. Believe the family had moved to South America and lived for some time, about 3 years, returning in the fall of 1914. The family visited Germany before coming back to America. Found in the 1920 census living on a ranch at Election District # 14 Carbon, Wyoming, Says he is a stock man with stock cattle: Andrew F Jebens age 32. Living on a ranch adjacent to his younger brother, Carly Jebens and family. Found in the 1930 census at Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming: Andrew A Jebens 47, Sarah D Jebens 40, Mary J Jebens 20, Josephine E Jebens 17. Found in the 1940 - 1950 voter registration entries and city directories at Los Angeles County, California with wife Sarah. Andrew was a member of the Long Beach Elks Club, Lodge #888 over 25 years. Andrew A Jebens died July 6, 1​951 at Long Beach, Los Angeles, Ca​lifornia and was cremated. His ashes were buried at Pl​easant Grove Cemetery,​ Pleasant Grove, Utah on April 14, 1975, 24 years after his death. Find A Grave Memorial #114739 has photos of Andrew and his gravestone.
