Elsie Maud Adams was born January 5, 1884 at Cuba, Republic Kansas to James 
Carlyle Adams (born in Illinois 1848, died at Baggs, WY 1927) and Catherine 
Jenny Giberson (born in Ohio 1859, died at Baggs, WY 1922). Elsie is found in 
the 1910 census living at Snake River, Carbon, Wyoming with her parents, she is 
single. Says birth year was 1888 and her father worked with sheep. 

Elsie married Peter Lee Jons on November 20, 1917 at Carbon, Wyoming. 
Believe they had 4 children: 
John Clayton Jons (born March 7, 1919 Carbon, WY, served in WWII, died January 
4, 2001 Savery, Carbon, WY); 

Peter Lee (born November 6, 1922 Carbon, WY, died June 9, 2011 Baggs, Carbon, 
WY); 

Roy Jons (born October 30, 1923 near Baggs, Carbon, WY, died March 27, 2007 
Craig, Moffat, Colorado); and 

Ora Katherine Jons (born 1925 Carbon, WY, died 1943 Carbon, WY). 

Found couple in the 1930 census living at Baggs, Carbon, Wyoming (Note: Peter 
had been married twice before - Arvill and Leila are his children from second 
wife who was deceased.): Peter Jons 61, Elsie M Jons 44, Orvill G Jons 19, 
Leila M Jons 17, Clayton J Jons 11, Lee Jons 7[7 4/12],  Roy Jons 6[6 4/12] , 
Ora K Jons 4[4 7/12]. 

Elsie Maud Adams Jons died May 1, 1966 at rural Savery, Carbon, Wyoming and is 
buried at the Baggs Cemetery.
