Mr. Fischer, who had been in ill health for a long time, had gotten up early in the morning and when his family arose at 6:30 a.m., he was found dead. I had been customary for him to arise during the nights or early in the morning and relax in his chair in the living room. He was born in Kansas on November 1, 1873, and at the age of six he came to Johnson county with his father, the late John A. Fischer, who homesteaded on the present Fischer ranch. Funeral services are incomplete pending word from the survivors living elsewhere, but will be in charge of the Flint Funeral home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Fischer, five sons, Leo of Evanston, Wyo, Carl of Custer, S. Dak., Jack of Chicago, Ill., and John and Robert of Buffalo, who were associated with their father in the ranching operations here; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Carney of Seattle, Wash.; four brothers, Edward of Fruitvale, Idaho, and Frank, William and Charles of Buffalo, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Menth of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Mollie Lolley of Riverdale, Calif. A complete obituary will be carried in the Bulletin next week."
