Shoumaker, 86, formerly of Buffalo, died Sunday in the Hardin, Mont. Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Johnson of Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Buffalo. He was born March 17, 1889 in Jefferson County, N.C. In 1909 he moved to Wyoming, working on various Johnson and Sheridan County ranches. He was foreman at the Cross H Ranch from 1928 to 1937, when he moved to Montana. He ranched at Wyola, Mont. from 1937 until 1970. He had lived in Lodge Grass. Survivors include three sons, Keith of Buffalo, Dick of Polson, Mont., and Wiley in California; two daughters, Mrs. Marietta Gripp of Bozeman, Mont., and Mrs. Wilma Van Pelt in California; eight grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three wives, Eula Coleman, Evelyn Cochran and Mildred Murdock.
