Later he became a carpenter and a wheelright at Ft. Washakie for the government. Charles married Fannie Bradley, but she and their first child both died when the baby was born. Charles remarried in 1877 to Jennie Black Moore. Charles was killed in a government sawmill accident. JENNIE E. BLACK MOOR OLDHAM PITTS 1857 -1937. Jennie came from a family that was followed by a chain of tragedies. Her father Benjamin Black was killed by indians while emigrating on a train through Colorado., Two of her sisters died of scarlet fever and another, a one year old was poisoned by eating wild flowers in Colorado. The rest of her family came to Wyoming territory where two of her sisters came to Wyoming and were married. Her mother remarried and had three more children. Jennie married Benjamin Moor at South Pass and they had two children. But Benjamin disappeared in 1875 and was neve heard from again. Jennie moved to Camp Brown in 1877 there she married Charles Oldham. They lived in Ft. Washakie until his death in 1886. In 1887 Jennie E. H. Pitts and took up a homestead in Lyons Valley, she had two more children. She mothered a total of ten children. Additional Comments: This is information that fell out of a box from the Pioneer Museum, that were given to me empty after they had been used to store old pictures. I recorded the information for history and returned it to the Pioneer asssociation. I got the boxes for packing to move and wanted to share it with others.
